I am typically looked down apon by people by my interests and talants. I work with horses and art, and am almost always critizied for it.
No one around here understands me, so I never am given a chance, and actually I understand horses better than people.
how do I get someone interested in me without me sacrificing "me".

a comment made about horses...(horses are harder to understand than people think... Laredo and I are like 1... he has proven that he will save me when I need to be saved... but at first... it was alot different)
I have gone to horse shows, and am a senior in my school... I am in a advanced art class and all, and my school is so small.... I once thought I had found the guy, but he moved far away and I lost contact... when I meet people i don't really let the horse person out... and after a while I slowly release some of my "horse person". in my area, all people like is hunting......

To he11 with every 1 else. Be who you are. When the time is right your will find the right 1 for you that has the same interest as you. Don't compromise for any 1. Stay true to your self.

the reason you "understand horses better than people" is because horses are not as complicated as people, they are also not as capable. They are not as capable in giving love, affection, all things you can only get from those humans. While it is cool that you are into art and horses, is there is chance that they take your time and focus away from the people around you?
Different people are made differently, while some people make friends by sitting back and letting friends come to them (effortless i know), others make friends by pursuing them. First put a distance between people that criticize you for your love for art and horses. you dont need them. you can find people who will love you for who you are by becoming a bit more forward. i mean that as in be the first one to smile at that girl that passes by. Strike up conversations with those in your class or by your locker. Pretty soon friendships will develop. I know it's easier said than done, but it works. i have moved 5 times in my life (and major moves at that), so I have had to learn the art of making friends in order to get by and being forward is the way to go. People generally like being around people who are not awkward with themselves. So be confident.
Maybe you could also take an art class or join a team where others with interest in art will be. Talking about art will always be a great conversation starter.

Maybe you should find a man that is in your area of liking say in loves horses as well but dosent work with them or maybe is in the field of horses horses can be harder to understand sometimes but they can be your best friend if you show you care for them and show you can trust them. but look for a man with interests like you dont waste your time looking for a man that doesnt like what you want because he might not be into some of the things you do like being active or being outdoors or maybe he hates aniamals

It is a wonderful obsession with horses and art. Don't get bogged down by people who look down upon you due to your interests because they are all donkeys not the horses.

Art is a talent and loving it has to be appreciated because everyone doesnt get that blessing.Loving horse is something personal,nothing wrong in that at all.go ahead ,i;m sure one day you will become a celebrity and that success will be because of your love for horses

Try to keep horse person away from others... Everyone may not be liking it wen u give more importance to horse....Dont try to change urself completely it will effect u....

Sometimes when u feel looked down upon your body language comes across as cold. try smiling and think about how u r coming across. This won't work right away. Just don't give up.

Continue to be yourself. The right person will come along in time and you will have someone to share your interest with. Screw everyone else. They are closeminded and probably can't do any of it themselves
