i have wavy hair that curls in the back and a huge cow lick in the front and i hate it. using a hair straightener is such a pain every morning and if it is humid outside forget about it. my hair is only like 3in long (im a guy). my friend told me that some salons use a chemical in your hair to keep it straight for like a month. would i be able to use this even though my hair is so short? also, would this damage my hair? would my hair go back to normal if i got it wet or if it was humid out? also, how much does this proceedure usually cost? please help me!!!
thank you
billy

the chemical straightners do work. It will keep you hair straight even if you get it wet (but you may have to blow dry it afterward). Costs anywhere from 60 to 100 dolars unless you take a risk and go to a beauty school and then its next to nothing.

Since your hair is short, damage is not an issue, as you get it cut more than females do. I would buy a texturizing kit for men. Look in the ethnic section for chemical relaxers in your local drug or grocery store. It is easy to use, just follow the directions. If you hate it, you can always just cut your hair. It won't be a cure all for your hair, but it certainly will make it much more manageable and tame.

you could't opposite a chemical technique. you're able to desire to constantly straighten your roots with a flat iron and mixture the hair till your afro is a length your mushy with and then decrease it off or seek for advice from to a dermatologist.

it will help to straighten it and take a lot of the frizz out but if your hair is super curly it won't make it super straight my daughter has thick wavy very frizzy hair and she had hers straightened and she loves it because she dosen't have to use the straightener and her hair looks alot healther and not as damaged as with the straight iron hers has lasted now about 8 months and it is still very stright it cost me about 60 but her hair is long i think it is well worth its money

if u are getting ur hair permanent straight then it will last long for 6 months or 1 year.but for tht u have 2 take care of ur hair & not 2 use any herbal things in ur hair.if u are getting it permnently then it will not vanish after 1 wash but it will stay for longer period of time. And one more thing tht ur hair will b'come dry after u get it permnent straight. so whatch it b'fore getting it straightened. i think natural hair are the best. if u take care of them then u will like them.

It's very bad for you because of the chemicals and it could damage your scalp!
