My daughter will be 4 one month after my baby is due. I was wondering if she is still young enough to put in a stroller or not. The stroller is going to be used for walking for exercise and nothing else. Thanks

My three girls are each two years apart and with each new baby, they wanted to walk. We bought a double stroller and it was a waste of money. Have you thought about getting a regular stoller and then buying one of those skateboard looking things that clip onto it? Then if your daughter gets tired she can stand on it and help you push.

Depends on how serious you want to be with the walking. If you are going for maximal effect for yourself, I would use the stroller. If just looking for some light excercise and fresh air for you and the kids, your daughter will probably enjoy walking herself. My middle daughter turned two a few months after my baby was born. I had a double stroller, but found that she enjoyed walking. I would take the double if I was planning on a really long walk (more than 20 minutes). Otherwise, I would take the single and if she got tired before we got home I sat her on the handle bar and let her straddle me (took the full weight of her off of me, but did not put it all on the stroller). Enjoy your time with them!

Since you are talking about a jogging stroller, I would say yes. She is used to and likes to go along for runs, right? Four years old is definitely not too old to be in a stroller. Every kid is different, but I see plenty of kids older than four out in strollers.

Jogging strollers are expensive, but you could always resell it on Craigslist or a consignment store. Double strollers always have good resale value.

I would definitely look for one that has separate reclining seats as your baby will likely need to be reclined more.

I think a double stroller might not get used as often as you are imagining. At 4 I would think your daughter would be more interested in walking or helping to push the baby. If you do buy one, try to get one used so you're not spending as much money on something that might not be utilized.

If you do get a double stroller, I recommend getting the kind with the seats one in front of the other as opposed to side-by-side. It will be easier to navigate around. Also having a larger stroller is handy to keep packages in if you are out shopping.

I would have her walk and get the other baby a normal stroller. My mother recently had twins so we have a double stroller, and it's kinda big just so you can tote the older one around. I would just have her walk, it's good practice and exercise.

Being that the stroller would be used mostly for exercising and walking. I would say encourage your daughter to ride her bike. Unless of course she is unable to ride as long as you exercise or you are in a mall or other surroundings in that case a double stroller would be a great investment.

If you want to take her along, sure. Ask HER if she would ride in the stroller when you went for a stroll.

Who knows.....you may have another baby and then the new one, now, can ride with the new one....then. Smile. Pops

Nope. A four year old is too old for a stroller unless she is really really petite. The bike riding is a good idea, or a scooter.

WERE YOU TALKING TO ME??...Not angry, just typing in caps lol...

btw i dont think your daughter will be to old as long as she still fits in it, it should be easier to keep up with her-especially since you will have your hands full with the Baby & all.
