There are two Talmudim, that of the land of Israel and the larger Babylonian Talmud. The slender Talmud of the Land is small enough and can be gotten easily. However, the Bavli is immense and costly, get in touch with your synagogue and see if they can set you up with a Chevrutah partner, as it is not advised to study Talmud alone, as it is complicated and you will have no-one to correct and be corrected by... A piece of advice, start with Mishnah and get a copy of Pirkei Avos, it is much more fun for a beginer. MazelTov.

Have a chat with your local friendly neighborhood rabbi.

It's far better to discuss the Talmud with a rabbi than read it on your own.

no, you need to spend a few thousand $ for that.

in Aramaic you can get it for very cheep


but their is a solution ;)

I don't know, but Kotex is comfortable and somewhat afforable. That's pretty close, right?
