Potato Salad goes with just about anything you want to take for a picnic!
This is very important: if you're using mayonnaise, pack it in a separate container in the cooler. Toss it with the other ingredients at the picnic sight - preferably just before serving. Make the salad one of the first things you put back into the cooler when the eating is over.

Sure it is, but if your going to be somewhere that you wont have a cooler or its very hot out, use a recipe for potato salad that is made with vinegar not mayonaise. There are some really good ones, like German Style Potato Salad.
Good luck and Goddess Bless!

It's a great idea for a picnic but you have to have a cooler for it so that it doesn't go bad if you don't finish it right away....that goes for any salads. Take care.

Yes it is however, due to the mayonnaise it must be kept in a cooler or refrigerated. There is nothing like eating potato salad one day and regretting it the next.

I don't eat that, instead I had a creamy salad sandwich for picnic last time.
Salad + carrot slices, cucumber slices + salad dressing + sandwich bread

Well sure, unless you don't have a way of keeping it cool during the picnic. It'll spoil easy, and not taste good warm anyhow.
