Yeah, it means he is shallow and he doesn't care about his gf.
He could do get involved with you for his own needs and leave you the same way he did to his girlfriend. To me this guy sounds immature.

well for one it says that he's willing to talk to someone while he should be investing time in another relationship (the one he's currently in). Chances are, he'll do the same thing to you -- so if you're prepared to deal with that when the shoes on the other foot -- then play the game. If not, wait until he's 100% single, THEN talk to him.

Yeah, it means he's done with her. He could have told you that because he likes you and wants you to know its okay to flirt around with him now! I would not go for him right after he breaks up with his girlfriend, though, he might be looking for a piece of *** instead of another love. Take it slow, and if its right, go for it!
