if it is after a trauma, it will go away in a few days to a few weeks, if new bruises keep appearing without trauma then you would want to be seen by a doctor, good luck

A blood disease called I.T.P. starts with dark bruising, then red blood dots develop mostly in the warm places like behind the ears,behind the knees, eye lids etc. The platelet level drops and stops ones ability to clot, needs a doctor's attention.

Depending where they are appearing: usually that is "blood" seeping to the surface of the skin. See a doctor -
