Of course your trying to have a little fun with Christians, and you being I would suppose an atheist, are wanting to see what silly answers you get. How long do you plan on being a looser? If you were to die tonight, which naturally no one thinks they will, you would suddenly be a believer, but it would be too late. You will hear the words, "I know you not." and you would be cast into the lake of fire for eternity. It's so much easier to get to know Jesus and ask God Almighty to forgive you through Jesus name. God is real and He created you. Your parents did not create you, God did and left it up to your parents to raise you. Some don't do a very good job. They are drunks, or drug users, or criminals, or any number of things and you end up following in their footsteps. The cycle can be broken though if you make a decision to do it. No, I'm not asking you to believe in ghost. You have a spirit and its called your soul. It will continue to exist after your physical body ends. Give it a chance and give yourself to Jesus. You can do it in private. Believe me your tears will flow when it happens because you know then it is real. God loves you, love Him back.

I've lived in the "real world" for all of my life... and the existence of God (as an all knowing all powerful entity) never really made any sense.
My parents taught me so much... all of it practical... and learned through the experience of living.
As I became an adult, I really started to think about what it is to be human... What it is to be alive... My mortality... The world around me.
My conclusion in all this thought:
God is simply the whole of existence... a term to describe the singular oneness of all that is. You are the creator of your universe just as much as your universe is the creator of you.

I was 16 when I told them. Oddly enough my father took it much better than my mother. I thought it would be the other way around.
They're still christians, I guess old habits die hard. But thankfully, with good education and reality-based upbringing, most kids are staying away from church nowadays.
And that is a very good thing!

They never told me there wasn't a God. But they also never forced me to believe in him. We had to go to church when we were to young to stay home alone. But once we got old enough to stay home, and to make up our own minds then the choice was left to us. My parents believe in God, but they are not bible thumpers that try to shove it down every ones throats. They respect every ones right to choose their own religion.
I do believe in God, just not in organized religion. Way to many hypocrites there. Like Gandhi said, "I would be Christian if it weren't for all the Christians." That's my favorite quote.

While many parental figures in the ifferent denominations of the Christian church try to force religion upon their children, I hope that people of atheistic beliefs don't do the same. After all, they seem to be the more free-thinking of the two.

My parents never told me there was no God. My brother did but he has his own beliefs.
I have a feeling you are going to get some nasty answers for this.
I believe in God but, I will not force my children to fallow my beliefs. I will let them discover him themselves.
I hope you do too. But if you don't he will forgive you when you die. That is why he is God.

do no longer pay attention or pay too lots interest on your human beings. faith is an fairly own element. do no longer over think of issues. there's a reason the Bible is named "the final tale Ever advised". there is an old quote (Stuart Chase) it is so very actual: "for people who have self belief, no information is mandatory. for people who have not got self belief, no information is achievable". the subject seems to be that a lot of human beings attempt to take the Bible actually-as though issues passed off the way that they are written. i might actually want to point which you seem into analyzing "The Autobiography of a Yogi" with the aid of Paramahansa Yogananda. He describes issues interior the Bible superbly. And bear in strategies, all the main familiar religions (that are man made) have comparable "memories".

My parents never told me that. There is a God. His son is Jesus Christ. He is the only way to get to Heaven. Accept Him now before you die. No chance for Heaven after you die.

My dad is an atheist and he's told me that HE was God my whole life. My mom always said she believed in God but just recently (and I'm 26) she told me she doesn't really believe in GOD but a "higher power."
I figured out that "God" is really the earth.
And we are already in "Hell."
When we die that will end our suffering and that will be "Heaven."
