It will take about 2 years to grow it out. Brown highlites don't look good with blond hair.

hair usually grows about 1/2 an inch a month so it will take a while for yours to grow out without dyeing it. i am doing the same thing right now...have been using temporary hair color to kinda blend the natural roots with the dyed ends so it is not such a dramatic difference. the semi-permanent washes out within a month or so and is sooo much less damaging than permanent hair colors....yes, i think if you do it properly blonde hair can look great with brown low-lights.

It depends on how fast your hair grows as to how long it will take for your hair to be back to it's original color. If you put brown (lowlights) in your hair, it will blend in with your roots and the blonde that remains in your hair already. I personally think that would be your best option. It would look the most natural as tour hair grows out, and it wouldn't be as shocking as if you colored your hair all over with a darker shade.

Your hair isn't going to turn brown where it is blond. You will have to wait for it to grow out and then cut it off.

You could just dye the rest of your hair to match your roots.

Ok for those people that are saying that if u wait to grow your hair and ur roots showing will be "tacky" arent up to date with the hairstyle trends...Now a days the trend is NATURAL looking hair...meaning no more chunky highlights...subtle highlights are IN..and roots showing is actually a fashionable thing rite NOW...check out some of the celebrities...Theyre actually showing their roots...so i would say BLond with subtle brown highlights will look goregous orrrr you could simply grow out ur hair :) hope that helps !

Weel, it could take a year for all the blonde to grow out completely out. Brown lowlights look good with blonde hair.

My hair is brown and the last time I went and had it colored the stylist did Blondie highlights. I t looks really nice. For your hair if you are going to let it go brown why not color it a light brown so it does not look funny. That why it has time to grow out and you shouldn't be able to tell

blonde hair looks fine with brown highlights you can get some chunky or do foil highlights all over of your natural color, this can be determined by your hairsylist. You just use your natural or close to it to highlight thru you hair its much easier to do then go all the way back to your natural. That sometimes can look to dark esp. if your used to it blonde.

Lowlights can give you a really nice "sultry" look. A lot depends on what shade of brown you choose (there are tones)! To figure out what shade will suit you the best u gotta know if you are "cool" or "warm" - and that will depend on your skin and eye colour. Warms usually have olive skin, yellow undertone with light brown to almost black eyes. Cools have fair skin, pink undertone, blue, green, or grey eyes. if you're tanned with blue eyes - you can get away with both! Choosing the right shade will help you play up your complexion. if you're "warm" choose chocolate, golden shades of brown, if "cool" - look for ashy brown undertones.
I hope it turns out nice!!!!:)

for you to grow your hair out to its natural colour will take you a year or more... dont do it. regrowth looks tacky and feral. best thing to do is lots of brown highlights.... all over your head. that way its half and half colours, and you wont hardly notice the blonde. plus blonde and chocolate look really nice together.
