I prefer pen because it gives a cleaner, sharper line. I like to write and pencil is too broad. You can't write as small or as sharp. The problem with pen is the risk of making mistakes. Erasing a pencil mark is easier and neater than crossing out the pen error.
Of course, now days, I do most of my writing with a computer. Neat and clean.

I usually do a rough draft of something in pencil so I can make any necessary changes that I need to make. Once I've completed it then I use a pen to write it up. I always do crossword puzzles in pencil though in case I have to erase.

pens with gel ink

Sharpies.
But I like the tungnanga (something like that name in green writing) pencils.
