If you answered yes, how important to you is that aspect of your faith? I'm asking with due respect, of course. Thank you.

My faith doesn't however my respect for myself and caring for the things God gave me require that I keep my house clean and bathe daily. I dont see how I could possible praise and worship God with a smelly body or a dirty home. My faith is based on the Bible. I feel better about me when I'm clean I can't relax and read my Bible watch TV or read a book until my house is tidy. I think it's a personal choice for me that enables me to put forth more into my faith.

I am with papa on this one. Cleanliness is next to Godliness was my grandmother's favorite saying. She also said, "everything has a place and everything in it's place". I agree, and if we look at the universe we can see that God is a God of order. There is order in everything He made. If we look under the Mosaic law, God has very specific laws that governed sanitation, baths, food, even instructions on what to do with certain kinds of moldy clothing. This is why the nation of Israel was healthier than other nations at the time. Because of the sanitation and cleanliness of God's people. I believe our God is a God of cleanliness and order.

i believe only the orthodox and "kosher home" Jews have strict guidelines and bathing and cleaning.
while i keep a clean home out of respect - i don't believe it's biblically induced ; )
