You can either add more tomato sauce to get the right taste or add some water to thin out the sauce and then add tomato paste to re-thicken and a pinch of sugar( 1-2 Tbs.)

Add some more tomato (fresh if there's time, paste, puree or even juice) until the seasoning is right. As a last resort, sugar which will "cool" the tongue. I hate sugar in tomato sauce, but if you have no more tomato products around, you have a good excuse.

Toss a peeled and quartered raw potaot in there to simmer w/ the sauce. Pull it out before it is done and falls apart. It will absorb extra salt and pepper from your dish.

You can put more tomato sauce in it and keep tasting it until it reaches the taste you want. But keep tasting while youre putting the tomato sauce in it, make sure you put more sauce in it slowly, dont rush.

Add 1 can of the cheap spaghetti sauces and 1 tablespoon of sugar. This will neutralize the spice and the acid also.

Try adding the can of tomatoes if you have it. If not try putting some grated Pecorino Romano cheese in it. The cheese shoulf take away from the spicyness.

Add some more sauce to the pot. If you don't have any, add a little ketchup and some water. Good luck.
