mean in all honesty I think it would have put him in a better light.

I mean it was a commandment to “ be fruitful and multiply” the concept of a 33 year old unmarried man in Jesus’ day was seen as very strange. At that time the people that were not married at that age were unable to be married due to a mental of physical disorder.

Jesus was a Jew; it would have reflected badly on his father had he _not_ been married.

I'm not sure what the big deal would be.

Questions about Jesus, or Questions designed to convert or recruit people to Jesus (or even away from Jesus for that matter)are simply a waste of time. Ditto for being "saved" or trying to clarify minute points of scripture when there are so many different interpretations and editions of text. People have already decided for the most part if they believe in the fiction written in the bible. People who feel God talks to them have psychological problems because hearing voices is a psychological illness. All the major world religions have issues like this.

Not all "holy men" married and had kids, so there is precedent for this. Elijah is one such example.

If having a natural marriage and children, etc, had been included in God's plan for salvation for us, then it would have happened. However, Jesus Himself said He did not come to set up an earthly kingdom! An earthly king would be sure to take at least one consort, in order to create a ruling line.

However, since Jesus lives, He does not need physical decendents to "carry on His work". Instead, He has disciples (Christians), people who can now, through His sacrifice, also call God their own Father.

Jesus didn't come to make 2 or 3 kids. He came to redeem several billion.
