I understand why a lot of Jewish people have an aversion to the cross however. I understand they have been persecuted under religious people baring a cross yet the people that persecuted them in my opinion did not know Christ and if they did certainly were extremely deceived and away from what Jesus intended obviously.

Did u guys know that if you look up the first ten names of the Jewish Bible and find the meanings of the 1st ten names it actually spells out a hidden message about Jesus being the Messiah?

It's like Jesus was giving his chosen people a hidden Message from him isn't that awesome.

For all the Jewish people I understand that u do not like to speak of "Jesus" but is it because you have always been taught that way why don't u have a look for yourselves. Isaiah 53 have a look for yourself it's all there.

To Christians these are God's chosen people perhaps if u know an unsaved Jewish friend u might wanna point this out to them.

Just sharing no offense meant.Luv

Judge for yourself:
Did Jesus fulfill ALL these criteria?

The Jewish tradition of "The Messiah" has its foundation in numerous biblical references, and understands "The Messiah" to be a human being - without any overtone of deity or divinity - who will bring about certain changes in the world and fulfill certain criteria before he can be acknowledged as "The Messiah".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all, he must be Jewish - "...you may appoint a king over you, whom the L-rd your G-d shall choose: one from among your brethren shall you set as king over you." (Deuteronomy 17:15)

He must be a member of the tribe of Judah - "The staff shall not depart from Judah, nor the sceptre from between his feet..." (Genesis 49:10)

To be a member of the tribe of Judah, the person must have a biological father who is a member of the tribe of Judah.

He must be a direct male descendant of King David and King Solomon, his son - "And when your days (David) are fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who shall issue from your bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will make firm the throne of his kingdom forever..." (2 Samuel 7:12 - 13)

The genealogy of the New Testament is inconsistent. While it gives two accounts of the genealogy of Joseph, it states clearly that he is not the biological father of Jesus. One of the genealogies is through Nathan and not Solomon altogether!

He must gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel -"And he shall set up a banner for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth." (Isaiah 11:12)

Are all Jews living in Israel? Have all Jews EVER lived in Israel since the time of Jesus?

He must rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem - "...and I will set my sanctuary in their midst forever and my tabernacle shall be with them.." (Ezekiel 37:26 - 27)

At last check, there is NO Temple in Jerusalem. And worse, it was shortly after Jesus died that the Temple was DESTROYED! Just the opposite of this prophecy!

He will rule at a time of world-wide peace - "...they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." (Micah 4:3)

Have you seen a newspaper lately? Are we living in a state of complete world peace? Has there ever been peace since the time of Jesus?

He will rule at a time when the Jewish people will observe G-d's commandments - "My servant David shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall follow My ordinances and be careful to observe My statutes." (Ezekiel 37:24)

The Torah is the Jewish guide to life, and its commandments are the ones referred to here. Do all Jews observe all the commandments? Christianity, in fact, often discourages observance of the commandments in Torah, in complete opposition to this prophecy.

He will rule at a time when all people will come to acknowledge and serve one G-d - "And it shall come to pass that from one new moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, says the L-rd" (Isaiah 66:23)

there are still millions if not billions of people in the world today who adhere to paganistic and polytheistic religions. It is clear that we have not yet seen this period of human history unfold.

All of these criteria are best stated in the book of Ezekiel Chapter 37 verses 24-28:

And David my servant shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. they shall also follow My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Yaakov my servant, in which your fathers have dwelt and they shall dwell there, they and their children, and their children's children forever; and my servant David shall be their prince forever. Moreover, I will make a covenant of peace with them, it shall be an everlasting covenant with them, which I will give them; and I will multiply them and I will set my sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore. And my tabernacle shall be with them: and I will be their G-d and they will be my people. Then the nations shall know that I am the L-rd who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary will be in the midst of them forevermore.

If an individual fails to fulfill even one of these conditions, then he cannot be "The Messiah." A careful analysis of these criteria shows us that to date, no one has fulfilled every condition.

Certainly NOT Jesus.

There are a number of reasons. Isaiah 53 is never read in synagogues. [After the crucifixion] The Jews can not see the Truth while the Gospel is spread to the heathen nations. The corollary to that is: A non-believer in Jesus is not capable of understanding & interpreting Messianic-related Scripture. Yet, "Salvation is of the Jews." --John 4:22 A minor point is that the Messianic prophesies describe both a Suffering Messiah and a Victorious Messiah. Scripture does not foretell that He will come twice to fulfill all the prophesies; nor does it say that He will do it all in one appearance. The Romans had the Jews so oppressed, all they could think of was physical deliverance - they had the Torah, Temple, etc, they weren't looking for spiritual salvation. When Moses delivered the Israelites out of Egypt, God took them to the desert because they were not ready to live free & serve God. Between the time that God audibly gave the 10 Commandments and when Moses came down Mt Sinai with it written in stone, Aaron & the Israelites had made a golden calf (basically to replace Moses - they thought he was dead & they wanted something tangible to lead them out of the desert - it was pagan Egyptian mentality which they had). And when the 12 tribes sent spies into the Promised Land, 10 came back with negative reports. Only Joshua & Caleb came back with assurance that they could take the people & the land because they had God on their side. The Israelites didn't trust in God; they stayed in the desert until all who had been released from the Pharaoh died & were buried in the desert. Only the descendants were given the Promised Land. When God sent His Son to save the Jews, they did not like His Torah-observance; they were into the oral law traditions of the Pharisees. Just like their ancestors, they snubbed their noses at God and worshiped their man-made idols instead - they idolized their religious leaders' teachings above God's Law. And then after the Ultimate Sacrifice, they relied on their own judgment (they listened to the negative) rather than embrace God's wisdom (which the few believers expressed). The Promised Land was withheld from the Israelites; the Messianic message of salvation is withheld from the Jews. Comments on some previous responses: God is faithful & just. His chosen people are His chosen people. [Except for pre-Abraham: Adam & Noah] all of the Covenants in the Bible were given to Israel; the NT Covenant is a repetition of the OT prophesy for Israel. The gentile nations are the wild olive trees which will be thrown into the fire as will the branches pruned off of the olive tree of Israel. Only the wild olive branches which are grafted into the root of the tree of Israel will be saved. Jesus the Messiah fulfilled all the Suffering Servant prophesies. History testifies to that Truth.

The Jews have no reference of Jesus being anything other than a prophet in the Torah. The only thing that is common with the Christian bible is the Old Testament. It was kept by Jewish scholars because they are extremely good at keeping track of there heritage and history.

Let me try and explain you exactly what pisses some of us off:
We've been persecuted by every Christian church since the day Christianity was separated from Judaism. The first Christian believers were thought that the Jews killed Jesus; that we are the allies of the devil; that we eat babies at Passover; that we are trying to control the universe; that we lie and cheat, steal and kill; that we ARE the devil. Sounds like old history? Try again-
Catholicism? Been there; the Catholic Church had turned a blind eye to the inhalation of the Jews in the holocaust and it took us centuries to convince them to stop and tell their believers every Sunday that we killed their Messiah.
Protestantism? Done that; lovely Mr. Luther and his lovely book, "On the Jews and Their Lies", brought a great inspiration to millions of new "Jew-lovers".
Mormonism? The next time I'll be converted, I want to be alive while doing it.
These are the minor things. Want to deal the hard-core? Persecution, discrimination, distinction, forced conversion, demonization, Inquisition, affliction, tribulation, humiliation, de-humanization, expulsion and eradication.

The Anti- Semitism is not an aspect of the Christians' wild thorns. The Anti- Semitism was well built by the early Christian church. Further more- were it not for the basis of the hatred that Christianity established so well, I doubt if some of the events I mentioned above would have happened.
Unchristian? Without a doubt, but whoever said that politics has got to do something with faith?

So excuse me if I'm not so enthusiastic about slapping the face of everything I believe in: my dying religion and tortured ancestors, but let me be "unsaved" and keep on worshiping whatever you like.

Ok, lets see if I can answer this (and I didn't find it offensive). If I remember my religion 101 correctly, in biblical times, the Jews were raised with the knowledge that the Messiah was coming. However, when Jesus came, they did not believe he was the one they were waiting for. They are still waiting for the Messiah to come.

Oh, and the Jewish Koran (i think that's right) is only the Old Testament of the bible. Christians follow the Old and New Testament.

Jesus was not "identified" as their Messiah until the New Testament. The Jewish Torah utilizes only Old Testament Scripture. Even then, the heads of Judaism rejected Him because He did not fit their understanding of Messiah.

Moses was told by God that the Israelites (God's chosen people at that time) were a stubborn and stiff-necked people and they would turn away from God's commands and regulations and would turn to doing bad and worship other gods. When they (Israelites), rejected Jesus, God rejected them and opened up the way for people of all nations even believing Jews.

There are some passages in the Jewish Bible that Christians believe are an indirect reference to Jesus. But these very same passages have many other explanations. There are no passages in the Jewish Bible that explicitly refer to Jesus.

Jews never had a Bible and Christians never had a prophet.

The Bible is a trick according to genuine Scripture.

Part of the trick of the Bible is to re-introduce the Tribe of Jews as solely representative of the twelve tribes of Israel, who had become one People under the leadership of Musa and had lost all tribal identity.

Jews will never believe in Jesus because they know Jesus to be Two Thieves Crucified on their Sabbath.

The Bible is a corruption of the Scripture of the Israelites with an introduction of Greek mythology and worship of the Sun God Zeus as the Father in Heaven, with Christ added to the crucifixion of Two thieves.

The name of Jesus is not to be found in the Scripture of the Israelites and is a name that was inscribed on the crosses of the crucifixion of the two thieves by the authority of the Roman Governor.

Adolf Hitler persecuted Germany's Bublical Jews because of the Hoax of the crucifixion of Christ and because of the Hoax of Christianity, which led to the formation of a Jewish State on land what that was lost by the Biblical Jews for their successful crucifixion of Two Thieves on their Sabbath in thier failed attempt to have Christ crucified.

Your Biblical Jews know they lost the Promised Land and with it the status of the chosen of God, and they quite rightly reject your Jesus God, which would bring further punishment to them. and how they laugh at your ignorance.
