Yes, I am. LOTS of people do homeschool after they have public schools FIGHT with them because the school won't help their children with special needs.
Believe me, you can teach your own child better, special needs or not, better than public schools can.
There are LOTS of websites that have info on how to help your child and their specific needs.
www.schwablearning.org is a great one...

I'm just starting the process, teaching preschool to my 4 yr old and the 2 yr old I babysit, both with mild autism and SID. And, I do my own therapy with them, as well as including my 2 yr old, who is average. I will be homeschooling my kids all the way through school.
