Go to your mail and you'll see a gray box with a silouhette next to where it says "Welcome "your name". Click on that gray box and you will be led through the process. Make a good one.

open your email page , choose an Avatar (the picture you see to the left of question :) ) then save your changes ...
After that at your Yahoo Answers page , click on your info and choose to display your avatar ...

you must post a picture to yahoo360.
once you do that, you can click on your screen name in yahoo answers and go to edit your profile, there you can choose between, no picture, yahoo360 picture, or an avatar
