Could you date and/or marry somebody who has a child that is not yours? This goes for both genders. Why or why not?

honestly if i had kids i would naturally want them to be mine sure. but at the same time i think if u meet someone and she is the one for u should it matter. Be with the one who makes u the most happy and love those kids as if they were yours. i wouldnt treat them any differant than if they were my own kids!!

..I WOULD.. marry someone who had a child from a previous marriage. This would not make a difference to me in regards to my feelings. If I loved this person I would LOVE him with his past, his present, his mistakes and qualities. Just because his previous relationship did not work out, it doesn't make him a bad or inadequate person. I would look at his relationship with that child and the child's mother and his actions would tell me a lot about him as a man, and as a person. I don't like men talking bad about women in their past because this tells me that they are not gentlemen. If anyone can talk bad about a person with whom they shared any amount of time, and even had a child. Then in my eyes they have no room in my life!

I did. I married a man who has 2 children from a previous marriage. Life happens. I married HIM, not his children, although I love them both dearly!

of course,how old???...it dosen't matter they will love you and if they don't have a dad they will love you even more!!
