Lucifer and Satan are two names for the devil. There are many others, but they all refer to the same being. I wouldn't call him a 'guy' because he never has been nor will he ever be human.

The angels are God's servants and messengers. Archangels are (I think) the highest rank. You can look that up in a Bible dictionary or concordance, both of which are available online. You can also look up the meaning of Gabriel's name. That might give you more of a clue as to who he is.

Lucifer and Satan are the same. He has many names. The Archangel Gabriel is a messenger of God as all the Angels are. Archangels are warriors and are fighting the war in Heaven which has been going on for millions of years in our time frame. There are different "earth ages" we deal with in the Bible. Just as it says in Genesis, God created the earth in seven days. In our time frame, this could have been thousands of years. It is said that a day in God's realm is a thousand years of our time. The Angels are spiritual beings and were created by God just as we are. They are eternal beings also just like us. We are eternal but we must traverse from this physical world to our spiritual world. No, we will never be Angels. We are actually favored over the Angels by God.

In the angelical level there are various types of angels. All created by God.
The most wise and beautiful angel ever created was/is Lucifer (his name means light). This is the one who was named Satan after he was casted out from heaven. Then the next in line are those called Archangels. These are only a few. One of these is Gabriel.

Question 1:

Lucifer is Satan is The Enemy is The Prince of Darkness is Beezelbub is Belial is The Great Dragon is The Serpent is The Evil One (and other names that represent his character).

Question 2:

The bible references Michael as being THE archangel (the chief, principal angel, and there can only be one):

Jude 1:9
Yet Michael the ARCHANGEL, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Gabriel is a messenger of God who once delivered information (Daniel 8), and twice delivered good news (Luke 1). Mostly he is known for delivering the message to Mary that God favoured her and would bless her womb with His Son, Jesus (Luke 1).

God bless!

Yes, Lucifer and Satan are the same fallen angel. He is a spirit. Angels are spirits. He fell from favor with God when he decided that he would like to be like the Most High. The Arch angel, Gabriel is an angel too, though not a fallen angel. He is one of God warrior angels. So, he is often battling other fallen angels who would try to hinder the work of God. A good example is given in Daniel where the angel had to battle for days after Daniel prayed. Daniels prayers were hindered by the demonic fallen angels. But the righteous angels prevailed, and the prayer was answered.

Lucifer was the most powerful Angel who became so proud that he thought he was God`s equal...he got a bunch of other angels together and they had a bit of a rebellion...which they lost...and were sent to hell to exist. So Satan and he are one and the same...The Archangel Michael is the most powerful angel and is prefigured in the future end of Lucifer. Gabriel was the Angel who appeared to the Blessed Virgin Mary to ask her if she would accept to be the Mother of God, our saviour Jesus Christ..and now you know the rest of the story.

When God created Satan his name was Lucifer. After Lucifer fell from heaven because of pride his name became Satan or the devil or the evil one or the old serpent or the destroyer, the list goes on and on.

The Archangel Gabriel was created by God almost as an equal to that of Lucifer. However, he was never overcome with pride.

Actually that is a misconception. The term Lucifer was used in a sarcastic way in regards to a Babylonian king who thought of him self as a god, they used the term Lucifer after he died in a sarcastic way because if he was a God then he would not have died. Lucifer actually means the light bringer, Satan on the other hand means adversary. From my studies on Angels I believe Gabriel was a seraphim, which are supposed to be the angels closest to God, the Archangels were used from doing battle and bestowing punishment, which is what Michal was.
