Okay, okay......... maybe the term sl*t cannot refer to a man. Can a man be a sl*t or some other term similar? What makes the definition? Why is this term used in reference to women more often than men?

because, by natures design, women are supposed to find the one best man to father their children and men are supposed to try to impregnate as many women as possible. It isn't biologicaly advantageous for a woman to sleep around but it is for a man to do so. A woman who sleeps around is doing it for pure pleasure while a man who sleeps around can, atleast in part, blame some of it on biology

It is just a work that some man made up. If a man goes and has sex with 20 women he is cool. If a woman has sex with 3 men they are a slut. If I can get 20 men to have sex with me I am not a slut I am cool because I can get that many. Would I care about that word,Hell No, Just because a woman can and will does not make her a slut, it makes her better then a guy who could only dream of 20 women but can't get that many so he calls the girls a slut. I say thank you if they call me that, at least I am getting something they are not.

I think a woman is term as a sl*t when she has multiple partners over a short period of time. Men are also characterized that way. It’s just that a woman some how appears to lose more in relationships both sexually and otherwise and women appear more vulnerable and seeing a woman with multiple partners you must admit it appears weird.

Sexually Women are more at risk than mean and are prone to a lot of disorders and complications than men, and seeing a woman putting herself at that kind of risk can be mind boggling.

When I see men in the same scenario it bothers me and I think it is utter nonsense. I believe that both sexes should have the same rules.

I am a man and I have only had one partner at anytime point in time. I enjoy one relationship. Its just beautiful sharing love with one partner, some how our environment has gone easy on men in this regard.

A man is called a womanizer. A womanizer tries for all the women he can get including even his friends' women. No woman is out of bounds. A sl.ut is, as I have learned, the same thing, but of course the opposite gender. She will do anything to any man anywhere and anytime. Neither have any self worth. It is different for men, as I guess many people think men are always on the make anyway and it is always the woman's responsibility to say no. I think things are improving in that regard but is still not quite fair.

I think that men see sex as an accomplishment, like a victory. All men see it as the holy grail, so they kind of congratulate each other and look up to each other when they have sex. It's an ego boost, and plus, I think people just expect men to do this and accept it. Men are almost always the most willing partner, and it's always the women who need to be "convinced" to hop into bed. So, when a woman doesn't need much "convincing" to have sex with a man, she is seen as "easy." I think that the term "easy" goes right along with the "convincing" theory, since all men have to do is say that a woman is "easy" and they know that they're talking about sex. Sex is seen as a goal for a man, and as a poker chip for a woman.

It's a two sided coin. Men can sleep with many women, but are only known for their sexual prowess. Women on the other hand, are called whores, sluts, etc. There are double standards...
Although it is unfair, it also has to do with the way society treats it.

Normally if you just sleep with a person without having a relationship first, that makes you promiscuous. It has to be more people than you can count on one hand within the span of a year or a few months.

It's called the double standard. It's okay for guys to sleep around, in fact it's admired. If women do it, we're sl*ts. Go figure. I think it applies to anyone who has sex with somebody they just met or has more than one sexual experience and partner per day on a regular basis. Or like my sister, can't even come up with a number when asked how many partners they've had.

Instead of calling a man a sl*t...more like call him a man horror.
What makes a women a sl*t? well sleeping with guy after guy...basically sleeping with alot of guys. And if she dresses like showing alot of skin (over exposing herself). Yeah thats what makes her a sl*t.
And for a guy...sleeping with alot of women and he is a cheater.

Basically because the job which someone gets money for having intercourse with someone else is almost always practiced by women, so that's why they are exclusively called sluts.
There is nothing to do with double standards, as women call themselves (especially the ones more beautiful) sluts.
As this curse is exclusive for women, I believe others there are others equally or more humiliating exclusive for men, like 'mother f*cker'.
