My 8 month old daughter pukes in the morning but not during the day or night. We just got her off of the nipple and are giving her 3 meals a day of solids plus homogonized milk whenever she will take the bottle

Just wondering if this is normal as the transitiion between breast/bottle

I have five kids and have never heard of it unless it's happened all the way up til now which is reflux, call your doctor.

it could be the milk, a babys digestive system isnt ready to digest that until at least 1 yr.
Or maybe give her a smaller bottle in the morning, for example, if you usually give her 8oz, try 4oz and then a half hr later try another 4oz. and play with that until shes not puking anymore. I suggest trying formula instead of milk though, it may be easier on her tummy.

Eight months is far too young to be off breastmilk or formula. Milk isn't supposed to be introduced until she's a year old. At a guess, her intestines don't have the enzymes required to digest cow's milk yet. I'm not a big fan of formula, but if you can't put her back on breastmilk, give her formula instead of cow's milk.

I had the opposite with my daughter. She always vomited at bed time. I took her to the doctor, who sent her to a specialist and after several tests, for illnesses I had never heard of, she was put on Zyrtec for allergies. I have not had any problems since then. She is allergic to cats and the cat always slept with her. Her sinuses would drain into her stomach and cause her to become ill.

We no longer have the cat. She does well with a hamster.

she might be alergic to the formula that you switched her too. you should slowly give her something new. she might be eating way too much so when she goes to bed at night the food she had never digested. take one of the meals away like lunch and give her a bottle instead and see how she is in the morning.

you aren't supposed to give babies whole milk until they are at least 1. It can mess up the lining of their stomach. Not always and not necessarily your babies problem, but I'd call the doc

If your baby isn't breastfeeding, she should be on formula. Call your doctor. Babies cannot have whole milk until they are 1 year old.

No, that's not normal. What are you giving her different in the morning. Maybe it's an allergy.
