Just about the same with the cone inside the hot engine compartment if placed low and you were to remove the left side marker light. Injen might make 1/2 hp more. That car really likes headers random technology high flow cat converters and Stillen exhaust almost 50 more HP after a trip to the computer tuner anniversary edition brembo Z I built up for a customer was getting 293 rear axle horsepower.

As CEO of GM Plant of Chicago, in my years of work I have found that an AEM engine works a whole lot better than an HP. Also an AEM engine extends the life of some cars, including, Hondas, Toyotas, and Nissans, and it should add a good 5 years to the life of you 350Z.

Spend a few dollars more and buy the Nismo brand. They make an intake specifically for the 350 its called the 'fairlady' and it comes with the bypass valve attached (to prevent water in the engine and getting hydrolock *expensive to fix*) I have an 05 Altima SE-R and put the regular Nismo CAI on it, gained about 7-10 hp (claimed 8-15) but hey, its good enough for me....paid about $230 for it. Well worth the time and money

In my experience AEM is the way to go. I had a 99 Civic with the AEM V2 cold air intake and it made noticeable power throughout the entire power band.

Sorry to blow your bubble yet you aren't getting 10 HP from any chilly air intake. those are figures once you install header pipes, cat again, and so on. (and at impressive). The chilly air intakes are all about an same. it isn't that they are engineered large. No, it really is that the generating unit air container is so restrictive as a results of noise reduce. The chilly air intakes are frequently in basic terms large diameter pipes. === I easily have cheapy short air intake and cheapy header pipes. And the blend makes important advance in acceleration. also, chilly air intakes are designed for the track. you would possibly want to do severe engine harm once you suck in air (because of the particular undeniable reality that the filters are so low to the floor). sturdy success...

Yup, or put a cooler thermostat to keep the engine cooler.
