There is a difference between dieting and starving. If you are hungry, eat, but eat sensibly and in reasonable portions. If you are feeling this way all the time, you need to organize when you are eating. You see, if you start eating at specific times of day, I.E. 9 am, 1 pm, and 6 pm, your body will get hungry at the same times, and be full at the same times. This should also help your metabolism, which can help you lose weight. To directly answer your question, eating before bed is not the best choice, but eating a little bit and having it on you in the morning is better than starving yourself.
P.S... Sometimes hunger can be mistaken for thirst. Drink a glass of milk if you get hungry before bed, and if you aren't hungry, then you're probably doing that exact thing. If you get a hunger pang, wait around 15 minutes, and if your still hungry, eat a little something. Sometimes hunger pangs only last 10 minutes, even when you dont need to eat. Good luck!

I advise that you eat when you are hungry, and don't pay any attention to what a man made invention tells you, namely the clock. If you are not eating past 6pm then are you on a macrobiotic diet. I hate the word diet as it means nothing to me, you should always eat healthy foods, fruit & vegetables and stay clear of any or all junk foods, eat where permissible certified organic foods, it is not a diet but a lifestyle.

Perhaps eat some cereal or something light. Starving yourself will cause weight gain.
