Ping! Like a tight thread our economy could collapse, crashing world economy and throwing us back 50 years.

I am, however, more optimistic.

I think we've clothed the world, I think the next step is to feed them.

I don't think there is any stopping the Internet. I think the levels of user participation is going to have a major impact on world politics, news gathering, anti-propaganda ... a collective demand for peace, human rights and universal freedom. Since it's already began, that's not too hard to predict!

Identity via keys, PIN, passwords, signatures, swipe cards, car keys -- will all be a thing of the past.

Retinal scanning will revolutionize the world -- we'll just linger our eyes longer on an area and the volume will change or the channel will change or it'll replace the mouse and keyboard.

Technology will continue to serve and entertain us, the next step is for it to become more localized. In other words, we leave our houses to meet people we've met online.

Sex has always driven technology -- the first movies were almost porn, online spending via Paypal and the like first served the sex industry, chat rooms evolved quicker because of people cybering -- I think we just need to look to the innovations in "sex technology" to see future trends. For example the profiling software used for dating services like eHarmony will evolve to help us find others who like ... the same cars, the same quilts, the same foods. It'll be come more specialized and then broaden wider again.

okay, lol ... enough typing for now....
