Its rare, but sure. People have also awaken to find they now have foreign accents (like british or french) and other odd things.

If it is LOCAL anesthesia, yes it is. This is not a desired outcome, most of the time, but it does happen like once in a million times. It is due to tissue damage from teh needle itself or from having the chemical injected right into the body of the nerve.

nope but if the needle hits and severs a vital nerve then the part of your body that the nerve is connected will become numb.

You can have a nerve block to relieve pain. I think that depends on where it is, but it is worth asking about. Good luck. Hope this helps
