Sweetie,I think you'd better get prepared. If he's still locked up and waiting for a court date, likely he's been id'd. In most places, they aren't going to charge someone unless they have an id. They came to your house and got him? Good Luck. Also, if this guy has priors, re-think your relationship with him . You don't want a life time of cops in your face.

I think that was the longest sentence I've ever seen.

Yes, it is not only possible, it has happened in the past and innocent men and women have been sentenced to prison terms for acts they never committed - even with a good lawyer. We all hear about the guilty ones that got off with a slick lawyer - well it happens in reverse, too. It's sad.

I don't know what country you are from or the laws in that country but here in Canada and the US you can't be charged with a crime without evidence and just because they match a description. Especially if they have a lialby, just go to count with him and your Mother (since she can be an objective witness).

Are you sure the event happened when he was with you and your Mother? If you are then you shouldn't worry, he didn't do it and hopefully a judge will see that.

Not normally, but many people have been convicted and sentenced on "Circumstantial Evidence". Good luck. Pops

They can hold him for 24 or 48 hours to find evidence, if not he's free

It is commom for the threft to hide or dump the evidence.

Yes, they can charge him with it, but without actual evidence, he can't be convicted.

Yeah, I'm sure that's the whole unbiased story.

Dump the loser and find someone else.
