They are the same food. The cucumber is picked and then pickled. It is confusing because the taste of a fresh cucumber is so very different from a pickle. Just goes to show what a little vinegar and spice can do.

had some vinegar inside of a container. Then I added a cucumber inside. After a few days the cucumber turned into a pickle.

cucumbers make pickles. I canned my first ever pickles this year, and I'm very proud of how they turned out especially since I planted and grew the cucumbers too!
