we flatter ourselves by thinking that we humans are going to destroy the earth, we are nothing on the larger scale.all we will achieve is our extinction and sadly many species will be taken with us.

We're more akin to a symbiotic life-form in my opinion than to a virus...since a virus merely over-populates and destorys, whereas a symbiotic life-form lives together with its host...how for us humans...
well we do over populate and loot the earth's resources, yet we also give back to the planet, in many ways, from greenpeace (joke lol) from plantation, cultivation, etc, to our own natural wastes such as our decaying bodies adding carbon back into the earth (even when crucified, the ashes are still on the planet) so no not a virus.
The matrix was a cool movie, highlighting buddhist and hindu concepts of karma and prana/chi to the idea that we are all bound by this code (the matrix) that resides within us, but to then assume were a virus in my opinon will give too much precident to Agent Smith, and the last I heard his head got so big that it exploded, so lets leave it there...enough said lol
hope that helps x

This premise is popularized by The film The Matrix and makes logical sense.
It is based on the popular definition and akin to the definition of terrorism by the Bushites which makes the GOP administration the world's primary source for terrorism.

From the perspective of a higher dimension (where we are the atoms and molecules that make them up) the Earth could just as easily be an atom's nucleus w/in a virus or penicillin.

YES!!! Look at deforestation, it's like a dog with mange and we're the fleas. Maybe AIDS and Cancer are the Earths immune system fighting back.

They will see us as a life form that has misused its surrounds. Depending on what they need to survive. If they need the planet to be worse off than they will enjoy what we have done but if they are like us they will not be happy.

People don't like to admit it but yes, we will probably leave this planet in ruins even without a nuclear war.

Maybe the Earth itself would see us that way. Certainly, native cultures anywhere and most wild animals would view us that way I think.
