I have not been out with a guy since my junior year of high school...i'm now 23!! A junior in college!! I feel so out of practice. The only reason is because guys in my area are so immature and disrespectful...it's insane! What should I do? Is it me? Are my standards for the male species too high or what??? help me out here!

It's all very well to have high standards, in fact, it's essential, but you shouldn't use them as an excuse not to date.

it's only natural for the female species to set high standards for males. this is because it's so rare to find a decent guy. they are always jerks, practically 80% of the time. my friend actually joked, "with all guys being like that, we're bound to ALL become lesbians one day." scary thought. movies make us "aww" for the unrealistic male character. it's not your fault you want "the perfect guy," just keep looking. go to parties, meet more people. unfortunately we must all lower our standards, for a descent guy is found one in a million.

I thing you have your head on straight, You are doing what a lot of ladies should be doing, keep your standards high, concentrate on school, Mr. Right is going to come when you least expect it. and by you not selling your self short, and no baggage, you will be on the money. Proud of you!!

alot of guys are immature, one will come you way when it is meant to be. There is a person for everyone. Sounds like your standards are fine you will find someone someday dont give up and dont change your standards everyone deserves repect.

it's okay to have standards but you should lower them i'm not saying to go out with the next guy you see but lower them enough so you can have a man
