yes. i think that schools should adopt orphans and have home education students take care of them. assign them to a student for a week. homework assignments could include take the child shopping for clothing and try on a minimum of 5 items. another could be take the child in and out of a car seat 12 times in one day. another could be refuse a date with the guy of your dreams because you cant find a sitter......... and for your final you would have to cook dinner, change a dirty diaper, retrieve a yogurt covered raisin from a snotty nostril, and ground your oldest from his gameboy all at the same time.

I have 2 children and I'm pregnant for my third and the answer to your question is YES it would go down. i know a few girls at 14-15 -16 who have had kids because they thought they were cute but never really took into consideration the time, money , effort and patience that is involved with raising children. I think school should make girls take care of one of those fake babies just so they could get an idea of what was involved . I have seen it on t.v and i know it changes everyone mind or at least 90% of them.

Yes, and I feel your pain.
There are so many changes a child goes through at those ages. I have an 18 y/o, 21 y/o and a 12 y/o. Two are in college and the last one in middle school. It does get better with time.
Stand your ground and don't let them get the best of you, they will thank you for it later. Also remember to listen to what they have to say in a calm manner, face to face. Explain why they can or cannot do something and talk to the parents of their friends before letting them go somewhere with them. You will be surprised how many of the parents feel the same as you.
Stay involved.
Good Luck

It would absolutely go down without a doubt. People delusions about parenthood. It's like a secret society where no one tells the truth about what's really happening in it. I loved the fact that Oprah did a show about what Motherhood is Really like. A lot of women expressed anger at being duped into motherhood by women who were not honest with them about the negatives!

I think there needs to be more sex education than abstinence only programs, kids are gonna have sex, no matter which way is taught so why not teach them to be safe about it. And give them all the facts of std's, pregnancy etc. They have programs in some health classes where kids bring home this mechanical baby that cries and all that stuff. But I don't think it teaches them too much. I think they look at it more of a joke than anything. I know my neice did when she brought hers home, I know I did when I had to carry around a 2 liter bottle and my brother did when he had to carry around an egg.

No. Not for a moment. My kids are grown up and they only get worse as they get older. But I would not be without them for the world. I used to revel in their daily trials and tribulations. Today I try and be there for them, no matter what. Sometimes I dont succeed, but I have never hidden the real me from my kids, so hopefully when I failed them, they already knew I was not perfect. Do the best you can and know that they know you are. Its life, its all you can do and we all go through it. One final thing, think about what you do with your kids and why. Dont be angry, See! And trust yourself. With all the rubbish on TV today no one trusts themselves anymore. You can though, you dont need anone elses's permission. Good luck with it.

The birthrate in Western countries is all ready falling below replacement numbers, as people realize they won't be able to afford the type of life they want if they have more than 1 or 2 kids.

Now you're just scaring me. I have 5, is it really going to be that bad? And no I don't think it would stop them, the only thing that is going to stop them is if we made them all unable to have children. Some of them are like rabbits and just keep giving birth for something to do.
