I see the true church as a worldwide group of people who are faithful to Christ and the Bible and put Him first. A true christian's doctrine doesn't change. It is eternal truth and so if a group that claimed to be christian allowed doctrine to be influenced by politics then I would not be prepared to meet with them. Christ transcends politics.

Politics and the almighty dollar are the primary reasons my husband and I no longer attend "our" church. I go to church to worship God. I know we have bills to pay, but they should NEVER be the primary focus! Worshiping God and helping others should be the focus.

I got news most Church's already have politics in them. The best way to train yourself is not to look from side to side, but keep your minds eye on your God.

I have to go with whatabout, but I would omit his word "your". All you need to do is look at, or listen to the Christian fundamentalist. They even try to run for president. They may not have bombs strapped to them, but they are dangerous to our freedom as well.
