I wish you had offered more information about why your grades are poor.
Middle school requires discipline, effort, perseverance, and resources. Your books need to be studied, not just read. Your parents need to help where they can. Your teachers are almost always available to students who are actually trying to do well. You can't wait until the last minute to study. The last minute is for reviewing not for learning! Explain the problem to a teacher that you think might be interested in helping you or to a counselor and ask for help. You, however, are the one who has to do the work.
As far as the social suckiness of middle school, no kidding. The kids, I think especially the girls, can be mean as hell. Look around for kids like my daughter. She's the kind of kid that will like you just because you're nice to her; she has no agenda and doesn't play the stupid stab you in the back popularity games. Remember, the popular group is a very very small group of kids. The rest of the kids, the major portion of the student population are just kids that want to get along and get through it all.

Does your school offer any kind of tutoring or after school help? You should really try and apply yourself better. There is so much opportunity out there for young people growing up these days. But you have to work hard before you get out into the world. Life and school will get tougher. Hang in there. Concentrate on the subjects that you are good in and get the work for them out of the way. Then concentrate on your harder subjects. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Use the internet and library for your resources.

hey so did i. but hey stick with it. if it gets really bad you can go to a tech colledge for your egd or hsed. going there you can still go to colledge. it just has to be a tech colledge. if the school does not sponsor you, you have to pay for it. this would involve dropping out. if you do drop out, you really have to be determined. however going to a tech can be better. you don't get grades you just pass or fail. if you pass on your school regime it doesnt say but how much you passed. it just says P. its $80.00+ for each course. but you decide when you are ready to take the test. you only have to take 5 courses. just your main ones. english, social studies, science, reading, math. your course could run all year if you felt you really need to study. if you wanted to study for two years you could, however youd have to pay the money again for that course. yes you decide when you are ready. call your local tech if you are interested, when you get to high school

Well, try changing your attitude first. If you think "I'm terrible, this is terrible" then it will be! You will be amazed how much power your mind has. Try thinking"I can do this, I'm great!" whatever, to help you out. And get a tutor!!!!
