Yes. As a matter of fact, no matter what kind of chinese food I eat, I am always hungry shortly later. Even other asian foods. It could be Dim Sum, Szechuan, Hunan, Fukinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, etc. Chinese food on the norm are not heavy, rich foods made that's why you tend to get hungry sooner. Well, take care and remember that doesn't mean that you should go scarfing down all this food.

If I'm not sleepy an hour later, then I probably am hungry again!
I think it's the MSG - it produces a calming or relaxing state which is better for eating, and it causes you to feel hungry.
I read something to that effect in an article about why Chinese chefs cook with MSG.

No, because I always eat lots of protein while I'm at the buffet. All those meat dishes will fill you up if you choose wisely.

It must be designed that way. That's why you get so much of it but no matter the quantity when you get home you will still want to eat.
