Heck NO!!! When we were younger my dad made us eat everything my mom cooked including liver which none of us likes. The liver would end up in the bowl of beans, under the place mats and even under the chair cushion. After we got older when we knew it was liver for dinner we all ran out to McDonalds!!

I've never had beef liver, it scares me. But oddly, when I was pregnant, I craved chicken livers and onions like a mad woman!

I remember a family friend made it years ago - and I really enjoyed it (like most people, growing up hating it).
Perhaps the liver had been dredged in flour before frying it (with the onions) in bacon grease.
Liver can be a tempermental thing to cook - not too pink and bloody, nor too tough and leathery.

We love it at our house but only once or twice a year because it is so rich. I like fried chicken liver too. I also make an appetizer with chicken liver soaked in hot sauce, wrapped in bacon and baked in the oven. Very tasty

i've only had calf liver, but the trick is to not overcook it. nothing like trying to eat shoe leather!!!!! i get mine to cook evenly by cutting into bite size pieces first, then cooking it. a lot easier to stir around, plus i add it to the onions and cook together. yum!!!

yessss- love the stuff. With a little bit of vinegar (it transforms the taste) and lots of onions. Must be served with mashed potatoes and gravy. Sliced not too thick and not too thin. Chopped chicken liver with onion and a little mayo is great on rye bread. YUM
