You can get smaller antennas, but they don't perform as good as a regular sized one. Antennas should be specific wavelengths of the frequency involvel. Common wavelengths are 1/4 or 1/2 or 5/8 or a full 1 wavelength. For CB, the shortest at 1/4 wave is about 8 feet.

The smaller ones are designed to match the output impedance, but the shorter length does impair the performance.

For a base or mobile?

Wilson magnet mounts are good for mobiles.

An antenna that doesn't use much space for a base
is called Antron 99 it's just a straight pole.like a whip.

JC Whitney used to carry them. However, not many people sell them these days, because they don't perform too well (although my old one seemed pretty good).

I'm sure it's not the smallest, but Wilson makes a little willie which is probably the best of its size.
