There are a couple of radio stations in my families listening area that I do not particularly care for the music they play based on the lyrics of certain songs. Some of the music is fine, others are not good for 12 y/olds to listen to or understand.

I would like to know if a rating system could be established for the listening audience. Example ( "This station is rated PG-17") not good for underage children. Or maybe a V-chip so I could set the stereo in her room where it would only pick up the stations that are approved by her father and I.

What do you think?

It's a nice idea but a little impractical when the kids are out of the home. Such a device could be installed in home radio systems though.

I think that the resposability of your children is yours. Maybe try talking to them. I find it hard to believe that a child will turn bad from listening to music. A well educated child will be a well educated adult. the problem I see most in this world is that alot of people raise idiots. TEACH YOUR CHILDREN WELL!!!!!
