I was recently circumcised over two months ago and the doctor did it loosely. Now the remaining skin that wasn't cut that's under the head is starting to form skin bridges, which means that skin is starting to connect to the head of my penis. I emailed my doctor about this, so I'm waiting for her reply. But do you think I'll need another circumcision to remove the remaining skin?

I had it done for recurrent infections (balanitis and phimosis).

Talk to your Dr again about it and follow her advice.

Keep your glans (head of your penis) coated with petroleum jelly until your scar has stabilized.

Once the scar has stabilized you may have to have the skin bridges cut, and then keep it coated with petroleum jelly again until completely healed.

You are lucky if this is the only complication you will have from this mutilation.

Circumcision is not a solution, only a different problem.

If you go back to the same doctor ask her how much she cuts from girls that have recurrent infections (girls have even more infections than uncut guys). The wisdom that the foreskin has to be removed for any one of a multitude of reasons comes from a time when there were also damn good reasons that a female could not be a doctor. We have made great progress since those days we now have antibiotics, hydro cortisone, medical books that show penises with foreskins intact, and showers with soap and water.

To any guys out there with these recurrent infection problems there are doctors that can treat them successfully without resorting to the medieval method.

I know they said something about this when my son was circumcised 2 years ago and I can't remember exactly what it was. I think you are supposed to push the skin away from it if it starts to attach, but I'm not really sure so don't do it until you talk to your doctor.

I think you should get another doctor because that really doesn't sound normal in a circumcision.

I think you should get a second opinion to see what must be done

If you move the skin back regularly and wash and clean it; it won't stick.

That had to hurt when they did the procedure. Hope you don't have to go through it again!

Why did you do it in the first place? It's unnecessary surgery.
