is power steering oil corrosive? there's a leak of it and it's all over the engine.

YES! Back in the day we would mix a small amount of power steeering fluid with diesel to clean auto parts (Ford automatic transmission fluid is the same fluid) It would shine up the cast metal parts and make them look new!. It become corrosive when oxygen is introduced while it works. POwer Steering lids are air tight you'll notice. Good Luck!

No. It is not corrosive. Some cars use AT fluid for power steering fluid.
Power Steering Fluid
