See heaven right now. Then you are already there. You never left. Be the change.

Create the heaven you dream it to be, right now. No one is stopping you but yourself. (and commercials) LOL

If heaven exists- which I am not at all sure of- then it is on the other side of death. Most religious people agree that trying to rush the process by killing yourself will NOT get you to heaven. I agree with that whether I believe in heaven or not.
As to what it actually takes, it would require a peaceful, loving heart at the time of your death. For most people, it really takes a full lifetime of learning to love and to be compassionate and patient. Once you are able to see your own approaching death with a sense of peace, you have the best possible chance of going to heaven.
That means you can't die in an accident because you'll die with fear. Same for any violent death. And to be on the safe side, you should try to get really old, have a satisfying lifetime of experiences to look back on, have a group of people (aka your family) who have experienced the joy of being loved by you and have someone there at the end to hold your hand and keep you from being afraid.
Good.
Now I can spoil it with my dumb joke.
You go toward hell and then you make a U-turn.

Okay, take the next exit on the right, go down about two miles, there is a bus stop. Take the No. 7 bus to the Metropolitan train station. Take the 10 train from gate 12a...oh, and don't forget to buy yourself some "tickets" to Heaven. They were real hot items them during the dark (or middle) ages...

(just kidding of course ...) :]

I am assuming you are serious in asking this question.
The answer is that we can KNOW that we will go to heaven because God says so. There is only one way to get there and that is to accept the FREE gift of eternal life that Jesus Christ gave his life to provide for us. You see, we are ALL sinners - we can never meet God's standards of perfection by ourselves. God is a just and fair God, and because He is perfect, he cannot tollerate sin in any form. That causes a problem, doesn't it - because we are definitely not perfect!! But - He did provide a way ! Someone always has to take the punishment if there a wrong (sin) has been committed, right? Otherwise God would not be just, would he! This is were Jesus comes in - God himself, took on human form and became just like us. Jesus lived and walked this earth, fully God AND fully human at the same time (yes, there is a mystery which we will never fully know until we get to heaven - but true, none the less). He felt our fears, hurt our hurts, felt alone and rejected too - but the point of all of this is that He was the only one who was perfect, lived a perfect life and was acceptable to God to stand in our place to take the punishment we rightly deserve. God did this, thru Jesus, because He wants to restore the relationship with His created people that was lost by man's choosing his own way instead of God's perfect way (Adam &Eve, etc.) Because God loves us so much - he sent His Son....
I'm sure you have heard of the John 3:16 verse from the Bible, somewhere in your lifetime....it goes like this:
"For God so loved ..........(it says "the world", but put your own name in here and see what it sound like..) , that He gave His only Son, that..........(it says "whosoever", ...but you are a "whosoever", aren't you?...so put your name in again...) believes in Him ( that is: Jesus) will not perish (die) but have eternal life."
Now then - that's some promise!!!
There are lots of verses in the bible that say "this is written so that you can KNOW..." God doesn't play bluffing games with his creation! He has never re-negged on a promise and never will - it is not in His nature.
There is a lot more incredible stuff in the Bible....it is totally awsome to see what an adventure being a Christian can be! Anyone who tells you that being a christian means you have to check your brain at the door has never spent any time reading the Bible - there is TONS of incredible promises from God for those that follow Jesus Christ.
Anyway - you asked, so there it is. You need not take my word for it, but PLEASE - check it out for yourself! Get a Bible and read it for yourself!! And ask God to show you more of Himself - and He will. Believe me, He wants to know you more than you want to know Him!
You want to know how to get to Heaven - John 3:16 gives you only a starting point in an amazing life adventure with the LIVING GOD - and at the end of it all, you get to see Him in person!!
It doesn't get any better than that!

We can never be saved because of what we do; we can only be saved because of what Jesus Christ has already done for us. Let me explain.

Our greatest problem can be put in one word: sin. Sin cuts us off from God, and sin also keeps us out of heaven. But how can we get rid of our sins? We can't erase them or cause them to disappear by ourselves; we don't have the power. The only way we can get rid of our sins is for someone to come along and take them away for us.

And that is exactly what Jesus Christ did for us. We are weighed down by the burden of our sins—but Jesus took that burden upon Himself when He died on the cross for us. To put it another way, He took the punishment we deserve when He went to the cross in our place. The Bible says, "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God" (1 Peter 3:18).

What must you do? Simply believe that Christ has taken away your sins, and then receive Him into your heart and life. The Bible's promise is for you: "To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). Become God's child today by asking Christ to come into your life.

by accepting Jesus into your heart...just ask Him to come and you'll receive His forgiveness and love, you just have to tell Him that you want Him in, He's the way, the truth and the life. once you have salvation, you can never loose it, salvation is by grace, not by works. all you have to do is ask...and receive. Jesus loves you!

The Bible states that if we will believe (trust) in the Lord Jesus Christ, that He died, was buried, then rose again to life, for the remission of our sins, that we would be saved.
