Also, is it bad luck for you to buy your own tarot cards, or does someone have to give them to you?

I agree with ray of sunshine about just buying a new deck. But I have 4 tarot decks. One was a gift, and the others I bought because they spoke to me in one way or the other. I mean, what if you really want Tarot cards but no one gives them to you.
There's nothing wrong with buying your own.
Peace and blessings.

It's supposedly bad luck to buy your own tarot cards...but really, as with all superstitions, you have to decide whether you believe in itor not. Do you believe that walking under a ladder is bad luck? etc etc. If the answer is yes, or even maybe, then just save yourself the worry and have someone else buy them. Just remember superstitions only have the power you give them.

As to replacing a missing card I have no idea because I've never lost a card in any of my decks..... I'd guess you should buy a new one though.

Go ahead and buy yourself a new deck. Save the old cards to use in spell work, or meditation. (Dorothy Morrison has a good book on Daily Tarot magick, why not give that some reading?)

Someone giving them to you is a "tradition", but you can buy your own deck. As for replacing a card that's lost, I'd just buy a new deck...

Losing a card from your tarot deck is a sure sign that you are going to have a hideous death very soon...

I shouldn't waste your money buying a new deck, you haven't got that long left!

first of all losing a card really says something. get rid of the deck, or at least do not use it. As for getting another deck I would suggest that maybe you wait for awhile, until you can be More responsible for something that is very powerful, if used correctly with respect.
