I've read that the James ossuary, although dated to around the 1st century, contains a superfluous, added-on text reading:"brother of Jesus."

Despite the fact that the text was added on, wasn't the ossuary proof that Jesus's brother existed, and by proxy, Jesus himself?

It was proclaimed to be a forgery.The ossuary was a true antique, but the inscription was added by the forgerers.

This is a controversal artifact. It is likely a forgery. Don't look for signs.
