I'm like your boyfriend, only I'm a girl. I have a wall that's tall and thick, and it's hard to get through. I don't like it, and I try hard to make it go away, but it takes a lot of work. If you really love him, and he loves you, talk honestly about how it frustrates you, and work hard, and be patient about either knocking it down, or climbing over it!

Sounds like you are the only one giving. That will never work, unless you enjoy being a doormat. You can give until you turn blue, but if he isn't going to do anything in return, you can't make him. Get out, before he sucks the life out of you.

We're both in the same situation. I think its time to move on. Don't waste too much time with the guys who just want to take us for granted. The more you show him how sincere you are in the relationship, the more emotional abuse you are getting from him because he knows your weakness. End it up, find someone else. It his lost.

he needs motivation from you. he is not used to being close to someone or he has been hurt and you don't know it. talk to him again and try to get him to open up .if he doesn't then tell him you are done with trying.

Whoa Nellie!
If you can't get him to change now, please don't expect him to change after you're married ( if that's in the works!) it will be worse.
Get couples counseling NOW, or walk away. It's NOT going to work. He will ruin you emotionally.
