yes. it's a very amazing place. each town is known for something different, like leather towns, or cow towns, cheese towns. and everywhere is different. You have high mountail cities like Ecuador and costal beach towns like Manta. You can see volcano tops from everywhere and jsut watch out for altitude sickness if your not from there because ground level in Quito is the same height that planes fly at here in NOrth america. so you get sick the first three days or so. well not sick but dont do vigorous activity you'll feel like you can't breath. literally. other than that it's magnificent there. something you truly need to see with your own eyes.

I used to live there, it is amazing, I read what dreamangel wrote and she is so right, I used to live in Manta, the beach town she mentioned. If you are planning to go there, visit the coast, not too many people visit the beaches there and are great. Galapagos is a must.

Yes. The country is very poor so you have to be very careful where you go.
