Broasting in pressure cookers is not really recommendedbut if you are going to try it out remember Never use more than 1/4 cup of oil in the pressure cooker when preparing food. Fat can be raised to a much higher temperature than water and the danger of being burned is very high when using large quantities of oil.

those are specialized fryers and you cannot fry chicken in a pressure cooker probably blow the place up....you can use it as a fryer without the lid as it is heavy metal and would work ok to hold the heat...

as agreed it isn't the healthiest in the world but it is great tasting, just make sure that you have a good quality pressure cooker to
do it in. you may have to start yourself, if you have never done this before, a trial and error fry, chicken is cheap so you might have to go through a few tries before you get it right, but when you do you may never go back to pan frying. but it won't replace
bar-b-que'ing them on the grill (dang, I'm getting hungry).

yes you can...just make sure the oil gets up to 350 degrees and dont lock the lid on. Leave it off. The pressure from the boiling oil may blow it off. But only fill the pot about 2/3 with oil. That way you have room for chicken and room for the expanding oil to boil.
The equipment that the restaurants use are specailized equiptment. Your home pressure cooker doesnt operate the same way

Yes, its called broasting and it is very good. It probably in not very healthy because the oil or fat is pressured in the chicken, but its worth it because the taste is so great. As a matter of face KFC makes their chicken that way.

Yes, it is called broasting chicken, not frying.

However .....trust me..... the very best way to prepare chicken is not using oil, but rather roasting on special rotisserie, see

You will thank me one thousand times.
