If you do not have a vise, drill 3/8 or 1/2 inch holes in a hard wood board, insert pegs at a pattern agreeable to the dimensions of the handle, and what you will have is a forming jig.

easy and depends on the object shape and design. you can select your needs according to the parameters of the materials you need then design the jig required then look at its economics etc

I would clamp a steel rod (or wood dowel, depending on my metal) in a vise and just wrap the wire around it. You might want to make sure your wire's annealed, first, though.
