Why do they sterilize needles for lethal injections?

All needles come sterilised so they don't sterilise them, the question might be why do they not just re-use them to save money? Think about those skanks and scum on death row who might have (and lot's do) HIV or Hepatitis or some other incurable illness. If the needles were left for re-use instead of being disposed of some unfortunate doctor might needlestick themselves and catch the above mentioned illnesses. I think the death row inmates have killed enough don't you.

The injection is given by an infusion so the needle is only used to gain access to the vein in order to place a cannula, then the needle is removed before the infusion is connected. If a last second reprieve occurs after the infusion is set up but before it is started, the innocent person could have been given a lethal infection.

If they did not do it they are not professional doctors you do not overlook the essentials no matter what !
They are trained to do so and they do it as a second habit (Impulse).
Take Care and God Bless !

More to the point, why did you ask this question when you must've seen the same question come up in the "similar questions" bit when you were typing it?
