I don't agree that a vast proportion of the population believe in armageddon.
Global warming won't kill us. It may make our lives harder and it may well kill a lot of people, but it won't wipe the entire population out. Religious wars won't either. Lots of people will die but the human race will go on.
In my opinion the single biggest threat to our survival is over population. The simple fact is there are too many of us on this planet. Not only will this lead to startvaion on a massive scale but it is also one of the route causes behind the other two issues, global warming and religious violence.
The human race should be looking into humane ways to control the population rather than telling us to produce less carbon so that the polulation can continue to expand.

I think it is one of the most dangerous things there is and has probably wiped out more people than almost any other disease the world has known, however I think the crux of whether we survive or not will depend on certain religious countries getting nuclear bombs or not (you know which country and religion I am talking about, but I can't say or I'll have another 100 death threats off the buggers). I think religion on it's own will not end the world.. It's if the disease isn't innoculated against at an early stage that is the problem.

Religion is the curse of mankind and is in fact no more than serious mental illness - easily caught but often self-inflicted. Throughout history It has been the cause of more misery and suffering - both human and animal - than all other causes combined. The most effective antidote is science and education - but there are many strains which are highly resistant to any attempt at treatment although current indications are that it will self-destruct - hopefully sometime within the next 100 years!

Human race is going back to pre Renaissance. I think in today's world, media is so strong so they push their agenda. The agenda of who ever has more money. 9/11 was made to be a religious war. If Muslims hate democracy and progress why did they not attack Sweden. I think its the duty of the media to tell the truth or this world will go back to the times of jihad and crusades, if it has not already. Wars add a lot to the global warming. Quran says about the last day. " The sun will come down and mountains will be like cotton balls."

We will not doubt survive global warming and governments apart from the worst offender the US are beginning to work on the problem. I think you will find only a very small number of people mainly in middle America and Uganda believe in Armageddon. I certainly think it is a load of rubbish

We won't stop global warming. What will be important is how we adapt to it. When it comes down to it, the vast majority of sane people prefer the certainty of life to the uncertainty of what may or may not come after, and the survival imperative is a powerful force.

We will survive the way we always have. I know you don't believe it now, but in time you will see. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
