In America, not as many Muslims reject all music, but the majority of the Islamic world does because of the Islamic scripture posted above. Its not just the Taliban by any means. Google it, and check the authenticity of my citation.

It's a control thing. Hitler and Stalin burned books. Russian music composers were banned from writing music in the 1940s. Keep the people dumb, they will be easier to control. And if that doesn't work, use deadly force. Same old formula. We live in a "kinder, gentler" control paradigm - the TV set does the job quite nicely.

Where I live, muslims blare muslim music out of their cars all the time. It sounds like someone moaning and groaning and chanting.
