Could be an allergic reaction. Some alcohol contains sulfite as a preservative. Some people do have severe allergic reaction to sulfite. You should get a food allergy test done.

It really is possible that your body doesn't metabolize alcohol well, especially hard liquor. Some ethnic groups can't tolerate much alcohol without getting sick and sometimes its just individual. I don't drink hard liquor anymore because I don't like the feeling, I just have the occasional glass of wine. Maybe that would work for you, or not drinking at all since it doesn't seem to be a big part of your life. But it doesn't sound like you have a medical problem if that's what you are worried about, if it were to happen again when you aren't drinking then I think it would mean there is a problem.

Sounds like you had an allergic reaction to something in your drink. Don't be sure that because you are all friends that your drink was not spiked, that could have been somebodies idea of fun, some people think it is daft not to want to drink. If alcohol does not agree with you then do not drink it, make yourself the better person.

That is what is known as 'shock'.
You should seek advice fro your doctor as you may be allergic to something in the drink.
It may also have been cheap Bacardi!
Shock does peculiar things to your body and your symptoms are typical.

Not sure what happened to you but if you always experience something funny from drinking alcohol the best thing you can do is to not drink it..

You dont need alcohol to have a good time... so why drink it if you know it makes you feel funny.

I would say just ignore this one if your fine right now! Panic attacks are nasty. I had my first one 20 years ago. Then they grew to be stronger & stronger to minor seizures. now I'm on medicine. Dont worry. Just ignore this. If it happens again then see a doc. ^¿^
