I honestly thought you were going to say the Muslims, not the Christians. Christians are being hypocritical if they judge/ insult people, and really, most people here are either Americans or Europeans, and thus most of us are either Christian or non-believers. If there are no arrogant and abusive Hindus or Muslims on this board, and yet there are arrogant and abusive Christians, Christianity will be the religion insulted.

The pope is right-on.....All he did was quote from a 14th century source that (correctly) said that Islam's prophet advocated spreading the faith by the sword. This is a true statement.

His speech did kinda paint Muslims as violent...but again, I'd call that a true statement.

Finally, in response to a mere comment, Muslims have issued statements saying "may God grant us to slit their throats". Am I the only one who finds this incredibly ironic?

To the perishing, the message of the cross is foolishness, but to thos of us who believe, it is the power of God.
- 1 Corinthians 1:18

Because Christians are called to love everyone and also to challenge other faiths to come to know the living God, but since the worldly people do not understand that, they think that when we say true facts about other beliefs, that we are condemning them. But also because other beliefs are rooted in hate, such as Islam/Muslim, agnostics, athiest and scientologist people.

About atheists, they say they don't believe in God, but it is a lie because if they really did not believe in God, they would not even say "God" or "a higher power".

The koran claims that the things represented in "The Passion Of The Christ" did not happen and that is because it seems too supernatural to them that someone would sned their child to die for everyone-let alone when they caused that person loads of harm.

Read my blogs and you will learn more about the koran and why muslims love to blow stuff up.

yeah i realized that. I still didn't get an answer when i asked that. It seems that if catholics whicha re alsyas getting mixed with us Chritians are douing somthing bad its the Chritians fault. Or wwe are ignored out of evrything but then when it comes to blaming someone. its us that are blamed. I never see that ppl condemm the other religions when they say something mea. U know what the ppl are goin to say about this question? "Oh cuz the Christians are mean and condemm anyone who sin't a believer". Maybe thats true but know that tis not all Chritians.

Because bashing Christians is a o.k. with the world. It's the only religion where it's PC to bash us who believe in Jesus Christ.

Because one of us is right and one of us is wrong. One group will definitely go to heaven and one group will definitely go to hell.

And because:
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Personally, I think it's because most of the horrific wars and genocides carried out on this planet were at the hands of the 'Christians'. Also, when something is said about another religion the Christians are condemned? Well, usually it's a Christian saying it.

Mat 10:22 And you will be hated by all on account of My name, but the one enduring to the end shall be kept safe.

Mat 24:9 Then they will deliver you up to affliction, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.

Joh 15:18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it has hated you.
Joh 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.

It all goes back to Christ, they hate and persecute us because they hate Christ.

Jesus prophesied that we would be insulted because of his name, but he says we will be rewarded also.

[Mat 5:10] Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
[Mat 5:11] Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you (falsely) because of me.
[Mat 5:12] Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Christians are a safe target. If you criticize them they don't respond with riots.
