I believe that we as christians can defend ourselves, especially if the other side has killing in mind. The admonition by Jesus to turn the other cheek in the sermon on the mount Mathew 5-7 is between individuals. But Jesus also told the desciples before he went to the cross to sell your cloak and by a sword in the upper room discourse.

All Christians are to make a Stand for Jesus Christ. That's Stand and Fight. Does that answer your question?><>

i think i understand your question as: If you are a Christian are you obligated to be a Pacifist. My answer if no. There are always causes that need help from you in which more good will come out of it if you get involved then if you stand aside.

There's a difference in forgiving someone and letting that person tear you apart. If someone is breaking into your house and coming after you with a knife, are you going to jump up and give them a hug?
If you're not alive, how can you preach the gospel to anyone?

I feel that you should always stand up and fight for what you think is right.

GOD WILL NOT FIGHT YOUR BATTLES FOR YOU!

There is an old story:

A man was on a skinking ship.
A man in a bigger boat came and said "do you need help?"
The man replied:
"No god will help me"
Then A helecopter came and the man asked:
He said once again "No god will help me"
Then a person with a rope in a plane
He answered "no god will help me"

the boat sank and he died. When he gets to heaven he asks god
"why didn't you help me" and god replys "I sent you a boat a helecopter and a plane."

the moral: God helps those who help themself.

Jesus said to treat them with kindness. It will be like pouring hot coals on their heads. Also God will fight your battles for you. Talk to Him about it. he can handle it better than you can.

Love in Jesus' name
